Once upon a time, I found myself stuck in the rut that our fast-paced modern day lives can catch us in. Life was a pretty gloomy place - good feelings faded fast and I generally felt directionless and lost.
After spending too long living with the symptoms of this (low mood, stress-related illness and depression), I knew that something needed to change. I embarked on the voyage all of us at some point feel called to - the pursuit of happiness.
It was a long, winding and windy path - but I learned a lot! I tried anything and everything to feel better, to find my sparkle again. Of all the habits, rituals and mindsets I tried - there were three practices that truly transformed my life:
Gratitude,
Yoga and
Joyful Living
By leaning into gratitude, I found abundance. I fell in love with my own life - just as it is - without needing to change a thing.
Through the spiritual teachings of yoga I learned who I really was, what mattered to me most, and discovered my purpose.
After exploring joyful living, I had a knack for finding pockets of joy in each and every day - regardless of the other experiences going on in my life.
But the greatest lesson I learned:
Working on your happiness makes you happier
I founded dwtylife on a mission to share with the world the truth about happiness, that it’s not rocket-science to achieve, and most of all the simple lessons and teachings that guided me on my way.
