Attending Dwty’s workshops throughout the year has given me a new perspective on my life and journey through journalling. Sian creates an inclusive atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable, whether you journal everyday or once in a blue moon. I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of getting involved

I have been practicing gratitude on and off for a few years but never made a habit of it. Dwty life’s 4 week gratitude course was just what I needed to get back into a regular practice as well as learn the fundamentals of gratitude and how it can benefit my life. It’s such a lovely way to make new connections and fill yourself with positivity.

The four week gratitude workshop was a little piece of magic! I originally booked in as CPD to support my clients, but it soon realised how beneficial it was for me and my personal life. Sian presented all the information really well, backed up with relevant research, and also included loads of time for each person to focus on their gratitude practice. There was fun, laughter, connection and cake!!! Thanks Sian, I am now definitely a member of Dwty club

I recently attended the 4 week dwty workshops focusing on gratitude and how this skill can be incorporated into our daily lives and it was eye opening. The course was informative, creative and unbelievably inclusive, which made the entire process a relaxing and accepting way to learnt about gratitude. I would recommend this to anyone, whether you are looking to learn more about gratitude or if you want to meet new people in a positive environment. It’s also a great way to be creative and discover the best way you can practice gratitude. 10/10 experience

Why Gratitude?

Struggling with low mood at the start of 2020, I went looking for change.

Eager to try and lift my mood, I found myself browsing the internet looking for inspiration and wellbeing practices I could adopt.

At the time I was heavily impacted by the news and the media, and found myself feeling as though the world was an overwhelming and scary place. I felt discouraged and alone. I aspired for more, to feel the joy and contentment I knew was possible. In my online search for self-help strategies, I came across an article on gratitude.

Inspired by the impressive claims of the article, I started a gratitude journal. I started by writing just a few bullet points every couple of days of things that had brightened up my day, and things that I would miss if they were no longer a part of my life. To begin with, I almost felt a bit daft. But before long, I looked forward to sitting down with my cup of tea and thinking about all the nice things that I had in life, and the positive experiences I had been a part of.

As the weeks passed by, i began to notice a tremendous shift - my life began to transform

Not only did my mood improve, but so did many other areas of my life, and those niggling feelings of isolation and worry faded away. The more i practised gratitude, the more there was to be grateful for. Everywhere I looked, there was something to feel happy about. The sun shone brighter, my smile reached wider and my relationships and working life blossomed. I had more energy, enthusiasm, and was more capable of joy. Gratitude has been a constant in my life ever since.
